How it works
A job moves Open → Complete → Sent → Paid, and you mark it paid yourself when the money shows up. No project boards, no scheduling, no timesheets, no stock lists.
Pick the client or add a new one, name the job, then hit the camera. Take photo after photo without dropping out of the camera. Pinch to zoom, tap to focus, and tap a thumbnail to bin one that did not come out. Every shot is stamped with the time and can carry its own note. Job notes are a plain bullet list you can add to, edit or delete while the job is open. No signal in the back blocks? It all still works and syncs when you get bars.
One press locks every photo and note on the job. Locked means locked: the database blocks the edit, so nobody can go back and tidy it up later. Add a photo after that and it goes in flagged “added after completion”, sitting apart from the original record.
Tap the plus next to Expenses. Pick one of your saved quick-add items or type a one-off, set the quantity, and it lands straight on the invoice. GST is worked out for you if you are registered.
Text or email a payment link. The message opens in your own SMS or email app, already written, with your BSB and account number in it if they would rather deposit. Or hold their card or phone against the back of yours. Tap to Pay, no card reader.
Dispute protection
One bad dispute can cost a solo operator a week’s income. Press Complete and the job is locked: every photo with the time it was taken, every note, exactly as it was on the day. After that nobody can change it, and that includes us.
The lock is not a greyed-out button in the app. It is a rule in the database that rejects any edit or delete on a locked photo or note. Our support staff cannot override it either.
Remember something the next day? Add it. The database marks it “added after completion” on the way in, so the original record can’t be quietly padded.
Job, client, locked photos with their timestamps and notes, and the invoice, in one file you can send on. Anything added late sits in its own section.
So when it comes up months later, you just send the record.
The rest of it
Jobs, photos and notes are stored on the phone first. Basements, new estates, out past the range: keep working and it syncs when you get bars. Invoicing and payments need a connection.
Same jobs, bigger screen, and you can actually change things: edit a job, fix a client’s address, add photos and notes, sort the invoicing out at the kitchen table on Sunday instead of squinting at your phone. Anything locked stays locked there too.
Search by name, phone, email, address or something you wrote in their notes. Sort by who you saw last, or A to Z. Search jobs by title, client or address.
Set up your call-out fee, your hourly rate, the materials you always use. They turn up as one-tap items on every job so you are not typing the same line twice a week.
Not in here, on purpose: project boards, scheduling, team members, timesheets, stock lists. This is built for one person with a ute.
